Creative work of Le Bleu Nails and Spa in Burlington, isn't it beautiful? Andrew, Ryan, and Timothy are here in studio. Guys, tell me all about what we're looking at. I love these. So those are like Halloween designs, whatever season. Uh, like whatever season that they come in they'll have like a special idea so then it's like that's how it gives us idea and that's how we create it together, you know, with their idea and our like work it's like combined to give them what they want. likes seasonal nails to fit the holidays, and sometimes they don't even know what they wanted, so they just ask us like, can you please just come up with anything that you think is gonna fit their hands for that season so we just give it to them like and we basically make them really good for them and that turned out really nice. You tell me you all are from Philly, so you brought the Philly flavor here exactly, exactly, yeah. But honestly, Jersey, I don't think they're like really big thing on nails, no, no disrespect, but Philly, yeah, we bring a lot of like, uh, cre uh creative from Philly design to, you know, what we look at, so make sure people like them. So most of your clientele, do they come from Burlington or Philly? and Burlington, some some mine are in uh Philly, and then they drive over to come see me because I think um after like. After they get their nails done here and then if they go to like college or they just like move then then they'll still drive over so you have people of all ages, ethnicities, nationalities yes the reason that we choose Burlington because it's very diversifying, you know, we have everybody there, you know, everybody was so nice, you know. Positive and yeah we all have a good time you know people are very nice around there it's like you feel safe it's nothing crazy happening you know so you have 14 technicians you told me, yes, 14 and 4 of us are a male technicians and the rest is a female technician. Yeah, Joe was supposed to be here today, another nail tech, but he was booked up so that way he had to stay back. So you realize after this you're probably gonna be even more booked up hopefully. That's what we're going for. At noon we will talk about their BYOB, that's what I said, and volcano spa pedicures. Oh, love those.

Andrew, Ryan and Timothy with Le Bleu Nails and Spa in Burlington are here in studio here at News 12. We are delighted to have you on Spotlight New Jersey. Let us talk about this logo. Who designed that? Yeah, I, I came up with the design. And the logo So I got the ideas is from, you know, I, I try to start as the symbols, symbolism, and you know it's easy to see and recognition, yeah, that's all and the blue is very soothing that color is that your favorite color? Yes. That's my favorite colors. Good choice. Now we say nails and spa. That's one of the services you offer too. Yes, we do, we, um, nails and we do, uh, pedicures, not just only regular pedicures, we do have a deluxe pedicure, volcanoes, you know. Did you say volcanoes? Yes, volcanoes, jelly pedicures, spa pedicure. Like they have all different types of names, what it does to your feet. And then you know like the time consuming and all that too. The the reason why I had the name volcano because when we put the package inside the water, the water actually like blow up like that, like a volcano, yes like bubbles, yes, definitely, yes, and it usually takes about like an hour to do those kind of pedicures. Do you have girls and guys coming in, everybody coming in we do have a lot of couples, but a lot of men coming. Themselves too yeah it is a new thing it's like, you know, good hygienes you can't say that's wrong, you know, so I think and and then they come in with their couples, they spend time together, relax it's just like a spa day but like a quick express one, you know. What about the design of the salon itself? Is it conducive to making people relax and enjoy themselves and. Yes, um, so the vibe in there is really nice. Like everybody just doing their own thing and then customers come in, they would feel really comfortable, relaxing, and we told them you can relate like a little wine or champagne, you know, like a little name for themselves, you know, and that whatever you want. So most people go there and feel really comfortable coming to our stores. When people come, how often do they stay? How long? They stay for about like 2 hours either if they're just getting um a big design or if they're like getting a combo, a manicure, and a pedicure like that they could stay for about around that time, but if they just get one service probably an hour. Tomorrow at 6 a.m. Andrew, Ryan, and Timothy explain how they became nail technicians at Le Bleu and meet Ryan's family, so cute.

This is Ryan's beautiful family. Tell us who everybody is. Hi, this is my wife Daisy, uh, my daughter Ariel, and my son Zeno. They are loving being in the studio, aren't they? and she loves her queen bee chair. I don't blame her. You own it, girl. All right. We also have Andrew and Timothy here too. They are with Le Bleu Nails and Spa in Burlington. How did you all get into this line of work as male technicians? Let's start with you. Um, honestly, I start off when I was younger. I didn't, I didn't like doing nails because like, you know, it's kind of hard, you know, sitting there concentrating, you know, paint nail polish. And I was, I worked in a restaurant before and after that I had got into another job fixing houses and then at the end, um, basically came from my family. My mom does nail also, so she basically taught me a little bit and that's how I get into it. What's mom's name? My mom Alian. Are you two really close? Uh, yes, Mom, shout out to you, mom. I love you. She's gonna love that. Any other people you wanna give shout outs to? What about the staffers there at the salon? Tell me about the camaraderie and what that whole atmosphere is like with everybody working together. So everybody have their own specialties like a pedicures or like a nails, nails are or like just a regular manicure we everybody have their own specialty, you know. So when the client come in this, you know, everybody trying to find a right salon, but it's, it's come to like, you know, it's all about finding a right person for your, you know, for what you need. So you know, we, everybody, they, you know, very good work, you know, how did you get into this me, um. At on my, on my senior high school, I, I mean like apply sent my application to like 20 different like McDonald's restaurant and all that, and I wait for a month and I didn't have any response and then and you know, so I look up to my mom and she does nail and I'd be like, Hey mom, can I, uh, can I come work with you or teach me how to do nails? She was like, OK, yes, and that's how I started. And what about you? So I started when I was about 13 years old. Um, my, I had to learn early because it was like in the family. Both my parents do it, so I learned that at an early age and I remember hating the job because it's just like I was like forced into it, but after like after like 2 years ago maybe. I started appreciating the job more you know because it's just like I understand how hard it is for like other people to like find jobs or anything like that so I'm just glad that I had a skill set from the start but then I started getting better after after two years of taking it serious. And 9, Andrew, Ryan, and Timothy share how they enjoy giving back to their community and supporting other small businesses.

I'm sitting here chatting with male technicians from Le Bleu Nails and Spa in Burlington, Andrew, Ryan, and Timothy. Along with being a small business, you all love to give back to the community and support other small businesses. Tell me about that. Yes, we do, we do uh we do donate to um our firefighters and our police officers every year. And uh we do support like a small business like um what what was this the juice company one of your customers she makes really good juice by the way so she brings in like um a healthy blend is it a blend like with like natural herbs or like um like vegetables. Organic stuff, so we, you know, they spend their hard earned money on us, so we like to give back and spend it on them so it's just like we kind of support each other there in that sense. So any time we can like give back that's what we do. Why does that mean so much to you to do that? It's just like, you know, because people really spend a lot of money, you know, taking care of themselves and then also we just want to give back what we could to the community around us so we can you know. Live in a better place. Has your nail salon won awards or been featured at special shows, conventions, things like that? Not yet, not yet, not yet, but that's something you're working towards. Yes, definitely. What kind of future plans do you have for the nail salon? Um, definitely if we, you know, try to spend more like, um, we probably open another location if that possible and, you know, just create more beautiful work for a lot of like, you know, clients that we try to provide good service, you know, to the community. And Because I like to draw now so it's like pretty fun to work, you know, every day, get to do a new design so you found your passion, what would you like to do with that drawing nails? So it's like I'm not really like I, I think we every nail tech we hate freestyle ideas because sometimes we put in so much hard work they don't like it so we uh I always think like it's better to like bring in a picture. And show us what your ideas or kind of like give us an idea because it makes it more fun and it's just like you get what you want and we're happy that we could serve that to you, you know. At noon, Timothy shares how doing nails brought out a passion he never knew he had. Andrew also talks about a special person who taught him everything he knows.

Andrew, Ryan, and Timothy are with Le Bleu Nails and Spa in Burlington. You were saying you can't draw, but. No, I can, I, well, ever since I was young, I can never draw like you give me a pencil and a piece of paper, I can never draw anything. But on nails, I feel like it's uh for a lot of people it's very difficult to draw on nails, but for me I think it's, it's, I can make some really good at it, drawing, drawing on fingernails. So your creativity comes alive on the nails. Now you all had a short story you were sharing here about short nails. And boyfriends, what's that rap? So Tim, you wanna tell them no, go ahead. I'll, OK, so, um, that's a, a, a video go viral on, um, social media what they're saying like, um. If you had short nails you won't get a boyfriend, but for you to have a boyfriend, you gotta get them long nails so I look and look more, you know, definitely I've been there a couple of times every time when they come back they always have a story so it's, it's good. It works out I think long nails does get a little more attention, yeah, because it has special diamonds or drawings I think like we can appreciate somebody that's like. Have art on their nail, you know, on their nails your family members whom you wanna give a shout out to, do they appreciate the art on their nails too? I know your mom does. Yeah, so you know, being a tech, you can't really take care of yourself. I just think that's how it is. Once in a blue moon if we're on vacation, we'll do a set for ourselves or for me a manicure. So we don't get to do it often but we take care of everybody else. And what about your wife? She's into this line of work too. Yes, and same thing with her only on vacation so I think she's gonna get us set soon because we are gonna go to another trip soon. So I think who knows what her ideas are, you know. What's her name and give her a shout out. uh, so her name is An she's a very good down tech like she taught me everything I know and. You know she was a little she's a tough teacher but she really like. Gets the work done and help you know help me and her family yeah her family is um very nice. I, I really like enjoy her family they're very like nice kind people so you know shout out to them that's it. Make sure you check them out if you're down in the Burlington area.
