She's very thorough, she makes sure everything is right, and I feel extremely comfortable, and I, I, I almost look forward to seeing her every once in a while, but, uh, uh, uh, a lot of students can, can learn a lot from her. Because she really knows what she's doing, a very dedicated person, and I'm very happy. Thank you so much. You're quite welcome. He is talking about Doctor Rima Chertov, who is with Dental Arts of Freehold and Dental Plus in Edison. Tell us about that gentleman. He is one of the sweetest people I've ever met, so polite, so respectful. He had some dental issues and uh we did the full month rehabilitation for him. Um, and. It was just for him. He was extremely happy to have his smile back and to be able to eat comfortably and his gums are looking amazing now so it was like a nice before and after makeover for him and um. Um, let's take a look at the video. I bet you are. Let's take a look at a video and I want you to tell me what's going on here because it sounds like you have a lot of satisfied patients and customers and clients and yeah, go ahead. So this is a new technology that we have in the office. It's called. Taros instead of taking messy impressions for crowns or dentures or implants, we uh basically scan the area and it gets directly sent to the lab so we save time on shipping and handling and. It's also uh pretty cool to see for the patients their own teeth rotated and I can show them the issues that they have so it's a nice tool to have for demonstration purposes as well as uh restorative purposes. The whole industry of dental medicine has changed you keep up with all the technology, yes, we do keep up with all the technology and I love it. It makes my job a lot more fun. Easier and also for the patients they can actually see what I'm doing as well and it improves their anxiety. I also love using intraoral camera before I do any treatment. I show patients before and then I take a picture of that same area after so that they can see the results. Instead of just handling the mirror and pointing to the tooth. It's better to just show it on the screen.

I actually never had my teeth this pretty like. They never looked like. That Thank you. Oh, she is a patient of Doctor Rema Chertok. Listen to her emotion. Doctor Rema, do you get this a lot? I do get this a lot, but her reaction made us all cry. We, this is really why I do what I do. She was overcoming something very personal and um. I was able to help her and fix the front teeth and her reaction just made the whole office cry. I bet it did. And speaking of reaction, we also have another beautiful woman who had her own reaction to what you do too, and I love this hug. Oh, that is so sweet. Oh wow. So y'all look at all those teeth. Oh. Now what? Tell us about her. She came in just wanting to have a nice smile. The smile is your window to the world. This is how people see and this is what they, this is the first thing people see when they look at you is your smile, and for many, many years she, she wasn't able to get what she wanted and now she can and she said life is short. I want to fix my teeth. And um we this is the end result she was very very happy and I'm thrilled that she can have her life back. Since it is the window to the world, what advice do you have to patients like you said who might be afraid of going for that visit? Well, I can relate because I was afraid when I was growing up, and the best advice I can give everyone is don't wait to see a dentist, start slow, find somebody you can trust, build a relationship with them. It's not one stop shop. Um, I tell all my patients that preventative measures is the most important thing we can do for your dental health.

I think you're a pleasure. You're a great, great dentist. You have great what I call bedside chair or chair side manners, and you, you've taken care of me now a bunch of times and you've made my smile perfect. Oh, that is a beautiful smile too. Doctor Rema Chertto is with Dental Arts of Freehold and Dental Plus in Edison. Tell us what happened with him. So there were some issues under the crowns. He had existing crowns and some of the teeth had decay or fractures, and so we had to redo everything. There were very old crowns and also we had to improve the gums. The gum health is the most important thing. It's even more important than teeth. It's the foundation of. Health. So first we had to treat the gums and then replace the old crowns with new crowns. Tell us all about the treatments that you offer. We offer a variety of treatments starting from restorative to prosaic, fillings, root canals, gum treatments, implants, dentures. We also offer Botox and. Um, that's more cosmetic, of course, but, uh, it does target some areas that are relevant to the oral health, for example, TMJ treatments. We use Botox for that, and, um, we also treat sleep apnea, um, and orthodontic as well. I know when I had the root canals I was a little afraid, but girl, you made it so easy. I'm like, oh, OK, I'll get another one just kidding. I actually have a lot of patients who. Um, at first came very anxious and now that they got to know me, some of them even, you know, I can joke uh while I do treatments and they burst out laughing during procedures, which is not always the best thing, so I have to keep it under control, but it makes makes them comfortable and some of them actually like you know, make sure you get prepared for my next visit. You have to learn new jokes. You know, speaking of making people comfortable, you have a wonderful staff at both practices, so, um, yeah, the staff is amazing of course and they're basically the face of the practice they're the people who you speak with before you get to see me and um I take it very personally that they're extremely nice to people friendly and um accommodating um because that's what I am.

Doctor Rema Chertto is my guest. She is with Dental Arts of Freehold and Dental Plus in Edison. We all know things happen. How do you all deal with those dental emergencies? So very often we get calls in the middle of the night sometimes after the hours we have an on-call service that answers the calls and then I get uh either call the message to call the patient back and I do it right away, not unheard of me to call the patient at 3 a.m. yes, and um. I usually I always want to be there for them in their crisis, so, um, even if it's a weekend or have no plans to be in the office, I'll make sure that I'll come into the office to treat the emergency if they cannot wait. If they can't wait, I'll see them the first thing available on Monday or Tuesday, whatever that day is, and always there for them, basically I. Want them to know that they're not alone. They're not alone. What is it like running a small business? It's a lot of headache. But it's a lot of rewards as well. Um, the most important thing for the patients is um that we are transparent and upfront. A lot of people here, you know, they're not just anxious about the actual dental treatment, they're also anxious about how much it's going to cost. And we believe that it's not just the patient's responsibility to know their insurance. We want to make sure that we do our part and we call insurance and find out what services are covered and what percentage. So before they get any treatment done, everything is up front and clear, and there are no surprises at the back, and that's important for people too very important because you know money doesn't grow on trees for anyone. Don't we know that? What future plans do you have for your practices? Um, right now my goal is to basically do as much as I can for our communities and be there for them. Um, our small practices are really family practices, and you know we love having, um, patients refer their family and friends to us, and um this is really my goal is to make sure that I'm able and capable of continuing doing what I love to do.

Doctor Rema Chertto is a small businesswoman here in New Jersey with practices in Freehold and in Edison. We're talking dental arts of Freehold and Dental Plus there in Edison. Let's talk about how you give back to the community. So we've we've been blessed to be involved in many local organizations, um. We donate our time and resources to Jewish Federation at the heart of New Jersey and local Chabad and Torah links. We also donate to many charities. One of them is Stephanie Nicole Pars Foundation for battered women and missing persons. Well, donated a lot of toys and prom dresses. We did a fundraiser for those to local high schools and toys for Hanukkah and Christmas, and we also sent toys to Israel after October 7th to the victims and we've also been involved with many different campaigns in the area. We did a billboard on Route 9. We stand with Israel. And um basically everything we do, we try to get very involved and very active in the community to make sure that our patients now we're we're there for them. We also did something called a Wishree where kids who cannot afford um a present. Um, they put a wish list for us and we basically would go and buy them presents, so that must touch your heart when you see the reactions you get for this generosity. Yeah, it's really what makes it so special to be able to give back to the community and also stand up for the causes that we believe in. And you are getting accolades and honored for giving back the way you do. um, so, um, this, uh, Sunday actually I'm getting an award, um, Voice for Israel through Chabad, um, just for my extracurricular activities, um, but. Everything that we do really comes from the heart. We just really and and it's not to get acknowledged. It's just so that we have a chance to speak up for the causes that we believe in and to make a difference in our lives, make this world a better place for all of us. You have a daughter too who's getting into this line of work, yes, yes, my daughter Sophia, she um, she right now is in um. Uh, in Florida in college and she'll be graduating next year and she's going to dental school after that. She was already accepted, so it's a done deal hopefully if she doesn't change her mind.
