Joseph Megara says an employee serving him in January was negligent and caused a cup of coffee to spill on his lap. The drink burned him and inflicted damage on his car.
The lawsuit blames the franchise owners for serving coffee too hot.
News 12 is waiting to hear back from McDonald’s for comment.
