'South End Day' celebrated at Bridgeport's Seaside Park

The rainy weather did not stop Bridgeport's South End community to come together Saturday for a huge celebration at Seaside Park.
Organizers said it was great to see so many people turn out for the "South End Day" celebration.
"This event is so amazing because you've got family, you've got fun. It's a great, great vibe for Bridgeport -- something positive," said Wayne Winston, of Bridgeport.
"I feel this is just one of the greatest things ever," said event organizer Denese Taylor-Moye.
The event featured plenty of food, music, a bouncy house and free backpacks and shirts for children.
The South End Neighborhood Revitalization Zone sponsored the festivities.
