Some residents on Matthews Avenue say a neighbor?s home is creating not only an eyesore but many health hazards.
Some neighbors say Eugene Metz scavenges the streets and keeps the garbage they throw out in and around his home. Some claim Metz began collecting the garbage last year. Residents say he continues to keep the junk on his property despite fines from city agencies.
The Department of Sanitation says it is aware of the situation and has cited Metz for having a dirty sidewalk. Metz is expected to appear before the environmental control board. He was unable to be reached for comment.
