Some Bronx high school students should be preparing to take some tests a few weeks after the school year begins in September.
According to a New York Post report, ninth and 10th-graders at empowerment high schools will take diagnostic tests in the first few weeks of the term. The tests are designed to evaluate literature and math skills, which will give teachers the opportunity to create lessons based on students? needs.
The Post reports the tests are part of a $1.7 million deal with The Princeton Review. The testing company will also administer smaller, follow-up tests throughout the year. The tests will be given to 150 Bronx and city high schools.
