A tire-slasher is wanted in Barnegat after vandalizing cars in one specific neighborhood earlier this week.
Police say that the slashing happened Monday night within the Settlers Landing section of town. They say that 12 tires were slashed.
Neighbors tell News 12 New Jersey that they were shocked by what they heard.
"I think it's horrible. I mean it's an invasion. It's an invasion of your property,” says Louise Denoia.
Denoia says that her tires were left untouched, but that two of her neighbors were not as lucky.
Now police are asking anyone with surveillance cameras attached to houses in Settlers Landing to check and see if a suspect may have been recorded. Anyone with any information is asked to come forward.
A similar situation is happening in Manville. Police there say that a vandal has destroyed tires on over 100 cars on three separate occasions. The vandal in that town has also not yet been caught.
