Nearly 3,000 New Jersey soldiers who served in Iraq received a hero's welcome during a Trenton parade Friday.
Soldiers from the 50th Infantry Brigade Combat Team marched from the New Jersey WWII Memorial to the Sovereign Bank Arena.
Among those recognized are four employees of the Monmouth County Sheriff's Department. One employee, a Monmouth County corrections officer, spent the year in Iraq with his wife, who is also a soldier.
