Two locations, including a Lyndhurst jewelry store, are the latest targets in a string of smash-and-grab robberies.
Police say the Rama Jewelry store was struck by the same man they believe is responsible for numerous robberies throughout northern New Jersey. According to police, the man was unable to get anything from the jewelry store, but made off with $600 from the Liquor Shed on Ridge Road. Police say he entered the liquor store by smashing the glass with a rock. He then took off with the cash register.
Lyndhurst Police Chief James O'Connor says departments across the state are working together to help catch the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Lyndhurst police at 201-939-2900.
