A small airplane veered off the runway and flipped over at the Central Jersey Regional Airport in Hillsborough.
The Federal Aviation Administration says that the incident happened Tuesday at 5 p.m. and that the pilot was the sole person aboard the Furlong LOU CA-6 aircraft.
Hillsborough officials say that the plane flipped over inside of the nearby Sacred Heart Cemetery, but did not damage any graves.
The pilot was able to get himself out of the plane and was treated for minor injuries. Crews are also working to clean up a small fuel spill.
The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the incident.
