Six Flags Great Adventure is preparing to deliver thrills and chills this fall, with new experiences joining its iconic Fright Fest lineup.

The theme park says it is going big this season, led by four new haunted mazes.

Two of the attractions are based on popular horror franchises: “JASON: Blood Reign” and “Final Destination: Death’s Playground.” The other two mazes are original Great Adventure creations: “Twisted Holidays” and “Deadwood Cabin.”

Returning attractions include “The Conjuring Universe” and “Army of the Dead,” along with other haunted mazes, scare zones and live entertainment, according to a press release.

The fall season begins with family-friendly Kids Boo Fest and Oktoberfest, presented by Cash App, on Sept. 12, followed by Fright Fest on Sept. 18.

Great Adventure is billing the season as its biggest Halloween offering yet, with Six Flags parks across North America featuring 448 Halloween-themed experiences, including 29 new and returning licensed haunted attractions.

“JASON: Blood Reign” will bring guests into the legendary summer camp from the Friday the 13th franchise as they retrace the events that created Jason Voorhees.

“It’s incredible to see how fans’ appetite for Jason Voorhees keeps growing,” said Robbie Barsamian, executive vice president at Horror, Inc. “Partnering with Six Flags for Blood Reign lets us deliver the iconic slasher straight to our community on an immersive scale.”

In “Final Destination: Death’s Playground,” guests will have to watch their step because “death isn’t random, it’s calculated, and they’ve unknowingly disrupted a design already set in motion,” according to the release.

“Deadwood Cabin” follows a family of serial killers who fled to an isolated farm to evade police, while “Twisted Holidays” turns festive traditions into a year-round nightmare.

Other returning favorites include “Asylum,” “Big Top Terror” and “The Witch’s Reflection.”

The park’s scare zones will also expand this year, with “Carnevil” unleashing clowns across The Boardwalk, zombies lurking in Exile Canyon, restless souls taking over Plaza de la Muerte, additional zombies surrounding Bloody Fountain, and pirates and sea creatures roaming the Curse of Blackbeard’s Bounty area.

For fun without the fright, Kids Boo Fest will run on select dates from Sept. 12 through Nov. 1, offering trick-or-treating, fall activities, games and live entertainment.

Oktoberfest will also run from Sept. 12 through Nov. 1, featuring German-inspired food and beer.

To experience the haunted mazes, guests must have valid park admission, a Season Pass or membership, as well as a Haunted Attractions Pass.

Options include a one-night Haunted Attractions Pass, an All-Season Haunted Attractions Pass for eligible Season Pass holders and members, and a Haunted Attractions Express Pass that provides priority maze access.
