A relative is under arrest in the double murder of a couple found in their Newark home after their daughter?s call for help Friday.
Nicole Webb, 25, is the murdered woman's sister. She faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder. Mayor Cory Booker (D-Newark) said Friday the killings appeared to be drug-related. Police say 26-year-old Twanna Webb and 27-year-old Kareem Parrish died of asphyxiation. Cops found their bodies in the hallway of the home after the couple?s 6-year-old daughter called someone for help, who then called 911. The couple?s 3-year-old son was also found unharmed at the home when authorities arrived.
Family members and friends of the victims say they are shocked to learn the suspect is related. Shakirah Sharieff, who worked with Twanna Webb, placed balloons and candles near the scene of the double murder. Parrish?s cousin says funeral plans have not been made yet, but the family is looking forward to getting justice.
