A large sinkhole that opened on a residential street in Linden has led to some parking restrictions in the area.
According to Linden police, the sinkhole was reported Monday on Academy Terrace near Hollywood Road. The area is located about a block from West St. Georges Avenue, near the Hollywood Terrace townhouses.
“The area has been covered with a plate and blocked off while arrangements for repairs are made,” Linden police told News 12.
The roadway remains passable, police said, but some parking restrictions are in place in the immediate area.
Officials have not said what caused the sinkhole or how long repairs are expected to take.
