Sherrill pushes transparency after MVC voting error, blasts Trump claims

New Jersey elections have been under the microscope lately after Gov. Mikie Sherrill said thousands of non-citizens were registered to vote because of a software error at the Motor Vehicle Commission.
President Donald Trump has now assigned hundreds of Homeland Security agents to go after voter fraud across the country.
Sherrill says that this undermines the election process.

"I think what the people of New Jersey want to see is a transparent, accountable government so they understand what's going on and how it's going to be fixed and rectified,” Sherrill said. “That is what I'm presenting to people and keeping them informed, and Trump is doing the exact opposite, making spurious claims, presenting no evidence."
The governor said that this is part of the reason why she has continued to deny the president’s request for New Jersey’s voter roll.
