A former Marine is hoping to help other veterans by putting a roof over their heads and food on their plates.
Retired Sgt. Gonzalo Duran is trying to turn his late father's Bronx home into a shelter for homeless vets.
Duran says the house at 2381 Lorillard Place needs a lot of work, but that the challenge is worth it. He adds that the project would also prevent foreclosure.
Duran struggled with homelessness himself back in 2011.
