Several Somerset County police cruisers wrapped in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Somerset County police vehicles have been wrapped in pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The pink cars will be used for community engagement during the month of October. They are featured in six different departments around the county.

News 12 spoke to the artist behind the tradition.

"A matter as important as this is, it indirectly and directly affects everybody. Whether it’s family, friends, spouse, parents, it’s something we take pride in and support a good cause,” says Adam DiBetta, of Maximum Tint and Sound in Manville.

The pink police cruisers are known to appear at the Far Hills Races, which returns on Oct. 19.
