    Several arrests made for drug charges in area of New Jersey Wawa location

    Police in Brick have made a string of drug arrests centered on the area of a Wawa.

    Police in Brick have made a string of drug arrests centered on the area of a Wawa.
    One incident happened Tuesday when authorities observed a vehicle in the parking lot in the area to the rear of Wawa at 116 Brick Blvd. The vehicle was occupied by Alba Lekaj, 23, of Beachwood.
    Detectives observed Lekaj snorting a bag of what they suspected to be a controlled dangerous substance. Investigation at the scene uncovered torn wax folds of heroin inside the vehicle.
    Lekaj was placed under arrest for possession of heroin and a hypodermic syringe. She was processed and released on a summons that included charges.
    Another incident happened following a motor vehicle stop near the location. An investigation at the scene resulted in the discovery of quantities of controlled dangerous substances and paraphernalia.
    All three occupants, Kyle Fisher, 30, of Manchester, Jordan Scott, 28, of Barnegat, and William Barbato, 42, of Howell, were all arrested and charged. All three were processed and released on a summons.
