Seton Hall today formally introduced Shaheen Holloway as their new men's basketball coach.
Holloway comes to the Pirates directly from coaching the Saint Peter's Peacocks into the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. It was the first time a No. 15 seed made it that far.
"I'm happy to be here, I'm excited I'm back home, but I'm ready to go to work," Holloway said.
This is a return home for Holloway, who played for Seton Hall from 1996 to 2000. He also served as a Seton Hall assistant from 2010 to 2018.
"I am thrilled that the right opportunity comes here at his alma mater and his home," said Seton Hall athletic director Bryan Felt.
Holloway shared his gratitude for his time at Saint Peter's and pointed to his Peacocks team, saying they changed his life.
