Serious motorcycle crash on Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township

Officers responded to the area of Black Horse Pike for a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on Aug. 8.
When first responders arrived, both the motorcycle operator and passenger were found in the roadway suffering serious injuries.
Authorities say that the two victims are in critical but stable condition. The driver of the second vehicle involved did not suffer any injuries.
An initial investigation revealed the motorcycle was stopped on Garden Avenue waiting to turn left onto Black Horse Pike, southbound. As the motorcycle began to turn, it struck the front passenger side of a sedan that was traveling northbound on the Black Horse Pike. At this time, it does not appear that speed or distracted driving were contributing factors in this crash, and the investigation is ongoing.
The names of the parties involved in this incident are being withheld pending notifications to the next of kin.
