Families of fallen police officers were given a chance to connect and enjoy a day of fun in Seaside Heights Tuesday.
More than 56 families gathered at the Breakwater Beach and Casino Pier, where they were able to connect about their loved ones.
Jennifer Kelleher's brother, New Jersey State Trooper Sean Cullen, was killed in the line of duty in 2016.
"We've come every year since my brother passed and it's nice to be able to get the opportunity to meet other families," she says.
This is the 14th year the event was held.
"Police officers are human and they have a family to go home to," says Kelleher.
The event is put together by State Police and the national organization COPS, which stands for Concerns of Police Survivors.
