Search underway for missing Princeton student at Carnegie Lake

A search is ongoing in Princeton at Carnegie Lake for a missing Princeton University Class of 2026 undergraduate student, according to the school's Facebook page.
Lauren Blackburn, 23, was last seen around 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, near Firestone Library wearing blue jeans with torn knees, a yellow t-shirt, a black zippered hooded sweatshirt and blue flat-bottom shoes. Blackburn is 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair.
The operation began around midnight after the student's cellphone was traced to the area.
Search teams used sonar-equipped boats, drones, and K-9 units overnight. The search was paused and resumed Tuesday morning.
The lake is near Princeton University's campus.
