Police are trying to track down the driver who struck a 4-year-old boy in Madison and then left the scene.
The boy was critically injured when he was struck along Main Street Thursday night. It happened between a Burger King restaurant and the Rosewood condominium complex.
Police have released surveillance images from a nearby camera of the vehicle that struck the boy. The images show a white Subaru Outback of the model year 2013 or 2014.
A witness told investigators that the Subaru was driving in the shoulder for at least a mile before the incident.
Police say it was dark and rainy on the night that the incident happened.
