The schools chancellor announced Thursday that Bronx and city high school graduation rates are up this year.
According to Schools Chancellor Joel Klein, while overall graduation rates have improved, 15 of the new smaller schools posted a 73 percent graduation rate this year. Klein says the rates prove that the city?s push for smaller schools is improving the school system.
Meanwhile, Klein also announced that last year?s graduation rates were actually higher than previously reported due to a computer glitch. He has since ordered an auditing firm to conduct an annual review of the data.
