School budget vote results

New Jersey taxpayers hit the polls Tuesday to have their say on an estimated $14 billion in school taxes. Proposed budgets were defeated in Roseland, Belleville and West Orange. All others were approved.

New Jersey taxpayers hit the polls Tuesday to have their say on an estimated $14 billion in school taxes.
Proposed budgets were defeated in Roseland, Belleville and West Orange. All others were approved.
School boards statewide were relatively modest with their requests this year. Districts were nervous that voters, hit by the recession, wouldn't be in the mood to pay more taxes.
