Scholar Athlete: Holmdel High School senior Haroon Shaikh

well, he goes the distance on the course and in the classroom this week. Scholar athlete Haroon Sheikh of Holmdel High School, the captain of the cross country and track teams, he placed in the top 10 in the central cross country sectional championship last fall, Sharon says one of the most difficult things about track is also what makes it special. You can like measure your own performance and so you're going against the clock and I think you know, pushing yourself beyond your limits and fighting to beat that time is something that makes this like sports so special and something that I really love about it. Haroon has a 4.62 GP. A. He's ranked number 11 in his class. His coach says he's got the ability to lead others to greatness. His philosophy is running a mile in others shoes, I push others and but what I also do is like, like I acknowledge their feelings as well and make sure that they feel supported and heard in like in a sports environment. Haroon is headed to the Georgia Institute of Technology in the fall where he will study computer science
