Scarlet Knights fans were worried that Saturday's severe weather would postpone Rutgers University's football game against the Temple Owls.
The weather brought heavy rain, lightning and hail to Middlesex County and other areas of the Garden State. The hail seen in Piscataway and nearby New Brunswick was half an inch in diameter.
Wind gusts at times made their way up to 60 mph.
The weather, however, cleared quickly, and any concerns were thrown to the wayside.
The energy was unmatched as students filled the stadium and chanted and cheered on the Scarlet Knights.
