Rutgers got its holiday wish Thursday night with a 37-10 victory over Kansas State in the inaugural Texas Bowl.Ray Rice was named the game's Most Valuable Player. He raced for 170 yards and a touchdown. It was the tenth time this seasons he went for more than 100 yards and the fifth time this season he topped 150 yards. The Rutgers defense also stood out, forcing three turnovers and keeping Kansas State's scoring to a minimum.The Scarlet Knights finished 11-2 for its second eleven-win season in school history and picked up their first bowl win.
