Satellite for most advanced weather observation system to be launched this week

A United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket is set to launch NOAA's GOES-T satellite mission Tuesday.
This next generation weather satellite will provide NOAA and NASA as well as YOUR Storm Watch team meteorologists with imagery and data essential for weather observation and climate monitoring.
It will be the third in a series of four that will lift-off into space.
Tune in on Monday as News 12 Meteorologist Meredith Garofalo will have special coverage from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Viewers will be able to learn more about this mission and meet some of the women leading the teams behind the satellite series as the launch also kicks off Women's History Month on March 1.
