The Rutgers? women?s basketball team made history Sunday night with a win in the Final Four of the NCAA championship.
Fans went wild when the team beat Louisiana State University. This is the team?s first Final Four victory in school history. The ladies won with a final score of 59-35. Rutgers freshman Heather Gilstrap said, ?It?s really exciting seeing the women?s team having a good time and being successful instead of the men?s team.?
The last time the team came this far was in 2000, but lost in the semi-finals. Rutgers fans say the winning is in full motion now and there is no stopping the team.
The ladies will now have a chance at the national title. They?ll face the winner of the North Carolina-Tennessee game and try to become the lowest seed to win a NCAA title.
