Rutgers mania has not only hit the stands and the sidelines, but it is now making its way onto the hip-hop scene.
Hip-hop artists Mic Caine and Slimm Chance say they came up with the inspiration to the anthem ?RU Ready? at a recent Rutgers football game. Slimm Chance says he saw all of the school spirit at the game and felt fans needed an anthem to bring the level up a notch.
The duo?s manager at Cobblestone Records says the song became a big hit after it was played at a Scarlet Knights game. ?RU Ready? can now be heard on the radio airwaves as well as at Rutgers games.
