Rutgers University rolled out a new initiative on Monday to ensure that freshmen living in a STEM-focused dorm start their first year of college strong.
Rutgers Chancellor Francine Conway and Vice Chancellor Anne Newman say that the Community for First Year Students at BEST Hall initiative goes beyond housing and that it creates a hub of support and resources.
Guiding freshmen through the process are fellow Rutgers students who connect with residents in person and online through Slack.
