Hosted by the Salsa Project and On Running in collaboration with the Bronx Brewery and Latinos Run, the event welcomed running enthusiasts of all skillsets and ages. Despite the light rain, more than 100 runners showed up.
The run began at the Bronx Brewery and a made a few stops along the way that highlighted places of Hispanic Importance around the neighborhood, such as the Teatro Puerto Rico and La Finca Del Sur Gardens.
After the four-mile run, the runners returned to celebrate their accomplishments with food, drinks and music.
This was the first Hispanic Heritage Month Run in the Bronx. The organizers hope to carry on the tradition for years to come.
