A boil water advisory in Rockaway Borough has been lifted after a water main break in the area of Route 46 between Franklin Avenue and Summit Street.

A message was posted on the borough’s Facebook page that said there is no longer a boil water advisory in effect for any section of Rockaway Borough.

Route 46 eastbound reopened after being closed for several hours.

Crews continued to work on the large hole between Seward and Summit streets. They say they ran into an issue with a pole and a sewer line, so additional crews were needed.

Now business owners in Rockaway Borough say they are struck cleaning up after dealing with multiple breaks for several days.
