Face masks are returning to about 900,000 employees who work inside Amazon warehouses, which includes the fulfillment center in Robbinsville.
The mandate is now in effect, regardless of vaccination status.
Amazon is not requiring its employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine, but the company says it's bringing back masks because of rising cases.
The company is also delaying in-person return for corporate workers until January next year.
Other large retailers in New Jersey that are now requiring masks for employees include Home Depot, Acme, Starbucks, Walmart, Wawa and Target.
As of today, Gov. Phil Murphy has not instituted any mask mandate for customers at any of these stores.
