A Red Bank art studio is giving visitors the chance to get creative and make something uniquely their own.
J&J Art Studio offers a variety of hands-on projects, including sea glass art, pressed flower designs, ceramics, painted wine glasses and birdhouses. Owners Joanie Martuscelli and Janelle Temes say the studio is designed for all ages and skill levels.
"We offer sea glass projects and pressed flower projects," Martuscelli said. "We try to have projects for all ages."
The owners say many first-time visitors arrive nervous about their artistic abilities but quickly gain confidence once they begin creating.
Guests can stop in for a quick project, sign up for events or even host parties. Temes says the experience is about more than just the finished product.
"Everyone is unplugged. Everyone is present in the moment," Temes said. "It's just a really great bonding moment."
