Ridgewood officials have released photos showing off the work to turn the former Warner Theater into a new performing arts center.
Mayor Paul Vagianos says the owners of the property – Bow Tie Partners – are dedicated to preserving the historic building.
“They have kept everything original. All of the art deco on the wall and even the doors and the handles on the doors, which are original, have been kept,” the mayor says. “There’s a stage behind me and there’s lots of work to do.”
Vagianos says he promises to keep everyone up to date on the transformation.
The Warner Theater opened on June 15, 1932, as a single-screen movie theater.
