There has only been one faculty strike in the history of Rider University, but that could soon change.
The union representing Rider professors voted to strike if a fair agreement with the administration isn't reached by the end of the day Friday.
If no agreement is reached, the union says members will go on strike Sept. 4-5 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Students are due to begin classes on Sept. 6.
