People living around Jerome Park say their outdoor experience is being "trashed" by an overabundance of garbage.
According to Lynn Schwarz, the vice president of the Fort Independence Park Neighborhood Association, the western and southern edges of Jerome Park Reservoir are constantly covered in trash. She claims that land is the responsibility of the Department of Environmental Protection.
Schwarz claims she's contacted the DEP several times about the problem, but says her pleas have fallen on deaf ears.
