Belmar Mayor Ken Pringle is feeling more fallout from his tongue-in-cheek July 4th newsletter.
More than 40 angry residents filled town hall demanding Pringle's resignation. The residents are still angered from a summer newsletter Pringle published, which made derogatory comments about blonde women, visitors from Staten Island and Italians.
Resident Kevin Fay is among those demanding Pringle step down.
"I believe that this is his only viable option considering the extremely derogatory comments that he made," says Fay.
Pringle is keeping a low profile in light of the whole fiasco. He has promised to spend a day and night in Staten Island, however, and is expected to write a public letter of apology for his comments.
