Residents of the Patterson Houses in Mott Haven say violence and crime have plagued their building for too long.
According to police, a 21-year-old man was shot at 324 E. 143rd St. on Thursday and a 22-year-old man was shot in the back of the head in April. A 10-year-old girl was shot in March.
Tenants say although they see an increased police presence, it?s done little to decrease the barrage of bullets they hear on a daily basis.
