A state report puts most New Jersey hospitals above the national average for quality of patient care.
Hospitals scoring highest include Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville and Palisades Medical Center.
The state's health department also ranked 73 hospitals in treatment of heart failure, heart attack, pneumonia and surgical care. The lowest scores in those categories went to Bayonne Medical Center, Christ Hospital Jersey City, Robert Wood Johnson University, and St. Mary's Passaic.
