A Democratic congressman is calling out Ticketmaster for holding a monopoly on concert tickets.
Rep. Bill Pascrell says criticized the company’s “greedy” practices.
It comes after Bruce Springsteen fans complained of high ticket prices to see the E Street Band perform in Newark next spring. Some tickets cost $5,000.
“The market is not transparent and that’s why you have to go investigate,” Pascrell says. “We hope that this is an example of why we need to change in the ticket business, particularly in the secondary market.
Springsteen will be performing with his band in New Jersey on April 14.
