Rep. Leonard Lance held a town hall Tuesday night in Cranford.
The Republican congressman faced a crowd of constituents from the eastern half of his district, many of whom lean liberal on many issues.
While there were some protests outside Union County College for the town hall, there were also several people who acknowledged that Lance was one of the few Republicans in Congress who voted against the replacement for Obamacare.
The New Jersey congressman spoke harshly against the Trump administration, especially the president's budget that calls for massive cuts to many federal programs.
"This administration is the most foul administration I've ever seen in my life," Lance said.
Despite his disapproval of the Republican administration's job, many still thought that Lance's voting record speaks for itself.
Lane also said that he favored an immigration compromise that could legalize the status of people but not necessarily grant immediate citizenship.
