The number of organ donors registered at Motor Vehicle Commissions in central and northern New Jersey is on the rise, officials announced today.
The findings were shared by members of the New Jersey Sharing Network and the Motor Vehicle Commission at the University Hospital in Newark. Joe Roth, of the New Jersey Sharing Network, says he believes the rising numbers are from educating the public about the benefits of organ donation.
Newark saw the highest increase of registered donors, with a 19 percent increase.
