The Monmouth County prosecutor is working hard to crack down on recent violence in the area.

Authorities say 19-year-old Jessica Shabazz was fatally shot behind the Crystal Inn motel in Neptune Wednesday. David Bass, of Rochester, New York, was arrested and charged with Shabazz?s murder.

Meanwhile, two suspects were back in court for the murder of Asbury Park woman Latyria Nealy. Authorities say both suspects, who are charged with murder, and Nealy were gang members.

Police also released information in a Long Branch murder in hopes of getting more cracking the case. According to police, Patricia DaSilva was murdered inside a travel agency. No arrest has been made in her murder.

Monmouth County Prosecutor Luis Valetin is asking anyone with information in any of the crimes to come forward.
