A recall alert has been issued for people who shop at Aldi supermarkets.
The FDA has posted a warning saying the Tuscan Garden "Restaurant Style Italian Dressing" is being recalled because some of the bottles may contain a completely different dressing -- Asian Sesame.
According to the agency, the problem is the label indicates the egg and dairy allergens are in the product but the Asian Sesame Dressing contains soy and wheat allergens, so people who have those allergies can have serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they have the sesame dressing.
The dressing was sold at Aldi stores across the country from Aug. 23 to Sept. 23.
TreeHouse Foods, the manufactor, discovered the issue after receiving two complaints from the store level. At this time, TreeHouse has not received any reports of an allergic reaction associated with this product.
