Holy Week for many Christians around the world means hours of cooking and baking for Easter Sunday dinner. An Italian bakery in Raritan has been helping families prepare for more than 20 years.
Randazzo Pastry Shop & Bakery is hard at work making sure those who celebrate Easter have everything they need on their dinner table this Sunday.
“There’s a lot of Italian specialties that are just made for Easter. We have a pizza rustica, some people call it a pizza gain. It’s a meat pie with regatta, ham, salami, prosciutto,” John Randazzo said.
Having everything prepared takes days of preparation. Randazzo credits a great group of "Easter elves" for having everything ready in time for the holiday. He says only Christmas brings in more business for the bakery than Easter.
