Between the strong storms and oppressive heat, New Jersey residents were hit with a double whammy Wednesday.
The rain didn?t do much to bring down temperatures in the Garden State. Mercer County was under a heat warning throughout the day. Temperatures in the county climbed to the mid-90s, but with the humidity, it felt more like 100-plus degrees.
Residents tried to keep cool by going to cooling centers and by staying indoors. Some residents also headed to a fountain in Trenton to beat the heat.
