yesterdayA woman was found guilty Friday of murdering her mother in Rahway.
Prosecutors say Malika Jones, 26, of Rahway, stabbed her mother Inell Jones, 58, in a home on East Albert Street on Feb. 16, 2020. Officials say Jones was immediately taken into custody.
Jones was found guilty of aggravated manslaughter. Her sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 26, 2024.
