More than half a million kids tested on their English and math skills last week were reportedly given tests with mistakes. New York Post reports the tests given to third through ninth-graders at the city's Empowerment Schools had a total of five questions that were wrong. The Princeton Review, who wrote the exams, said that between 10,000 and 20,000 test booklets had problems. More than 1 million booklets were given out in total.Education officials said the mistakes shouldn't have happened, but that The Princeton Review is working to correct the problem. Officials said the tests will not affect the grades of students, but are used to prepare them for statewide exams in January.
